Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital in Marysville, WA is expanding!
We are in need of Activity Therapists (Recreation, Music, Art, or Movement Therapists)
We have one (1) Full Time Position and one (1) Per Diem Position (days, some weekends required)
Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital is only 5 years old and is a state of the art mental health and chemical dependency hospital. We are now hiring experienced, skilled, caring staff.
The therapist is responsible for planning and implementing expressive therapy services for assigned program. this includes assessments, groups, treatment planning and appropriate documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Recreational, Occupational, Art, Music, or Movement Therapy.
Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. New grads welcome to apply.
Licensure: Certification with national governing body in one of the following areas: art, occupational, recreation, movement or music therapy and registered with the state of Washington.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR/First Aid Certification and CPI within 90 days of employment.
