Faith-based not for profit elder care facility is seeking an Activity Assistant to work in our skilled nursing department. This position is 32 hours/week and is eligible for full benefits.
Examples of duties are:
Providing activities that meet residents’ needs.
Assist in developing plans for programming and lead or assist with conducting programming.
Encourage community involvement and work with volunteers.
Keep the activity areas free of hazards and keep potentially harmful substances in locked storage,
Assist residents to ensure appropriate clothing/ appearance is maintained,
Escort residents and participate in dining experience,
Clean and sanitize equipment and environment according to set schedule,
Follow proper guidelines & policies regarding pets/animals,
Other duties as assigned.
