| Job Qualifications: | ||||||||||||||||||
| Education/Experience: Graduate of an accredited college with emphasis on courses in recreation therapy or recreation. Some work experience required.
Certification and Licensure: Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist required. May require valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements Special Skills & Abilities: Involves treatment of patients who may be physically disabled or have cognitive impairments. Demonstrates competency as appropriate to the ages of patients served, in the ability to obtain and and evaluate patient’s needs and leisure interests; a knowledge of growth and development; and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
