Excelsior Youth Center is currently accepting applications for a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
With a main campus in the northwest city of Spokane, WA Excelsior, a nonprofit healthcare and education organization serving children and families, has been providing world-class comprehensive support services for children for more than 35 years. Excelsior is financially strong and growing with 200 employees, a 34 acre campus with specialized therapeutic environment and arboretum, and a total annual operating budget of $12 million. Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure, Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
-Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), or ability to become certified.
-Experience in planning, scheduling and directing recreational and leisure activities.
-Ability to administer Standardized Recreation Therapy assessments.
-Minimum 1 year/2080 hours experience working/volunteering with youth.
-Must be 21 years or older.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check
-Must have a valid drivers license.
