The Recreational Therapist is responsible for facilitating recreational based treatment programs for people with acute mental illness and chemical dependency. The Recreational Therapist will facilitate therapeutic based activities that focus around the needs of the individuals on assigned units. Recreational Therapist is considered a valued member of the interdisciplinary team and will be responsible for completing initial Leisure functioning assessments, attending interdisciplinary team meeting, and developing short term goals and objectives to help each person reach their treatment goals.
