Recreation Therapist – Reporting to the Inpatient Psychiatry Clinical Manager, the Recreation Therapist is a primary member of the treatment team.
On-Call Perdiem – Days Varied Hours
Participates in the formation, implementation, and revision of a general educational and/or treatment plan for each patient. Provides direct patient care and is responsible for communicating with other team members regarding patients’ behavior and response to the education and/or treatment plan and interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires BA or BS in Recreation from an accredited school, board certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and registration in the state of Washington as a Recreational Therapist. Also requires a current WA State driver’s license.
One year prior recreation therapist experience in an acute psychiatric setting or alternative school preferred.
