Rockwood South Hill is looking for a highly professional to become our Health Center Activity Manager. This management position will hire, supervise, coach, and lead the activities assistants in their day-to-day duties.

This position is Exempt and Full-time.

Responsibilities

The right candidate will be comfortable working with residents with dementia and providing support to families. This position will also plan, coordinate and implement age appropriate activities for residents with differing cognitive and physical functioning, both in our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing units. Awareness of current regulations affecting Skilled Nursing is necessary. Ability to complete activity assessments, care plans and MDS paperwork is essential.

Required Skills and Experience

• BA or BS in Recreational Therapy or related degree
• Six months in Senior Housing and Healthcare field
• Supervisor or project management experience
• Contributed care for populations with Dementia
