POSITION SUMMARY: The Activity Therapist is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, treatment planning, group treatment, and individual treatment. Additionally, he/she is responsible for functioning well as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participating in the unit community relations program
1-3 years experience Required. Completes position responsibilities by following established guidelines & protocols within the appropriate time frame.
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) preferred. Bachelor’s degree required in B.S or related field. Maintains education and development appropriate for position.

The minimum requires of this position require the individual to:
Stand for 1 hour per day.
Sit for 2 hour(s) per day.
Walk for 1/2 hour per day.
Hear alarms, telephone, tape recordings, and normal speaking voices.
Have good manual dexterity.
Have good eye-hand-foot coordination.
Have clairty of vision; Near = <20″, Mid = >20″- <20′, Far = >20′
Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication. Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
