Primary Location: Washington-Redmond
Providence is calling a Recreational Therapist (Redmond PACE Center, Day Shift, 0.6 FTE, Part-time, 24 hours per week) to Providence ElderPlace’s PACE Program in Redmond, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Conduct individual assessments to identify the participants’ individual leisure needs and function
Develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate therapeutic individual and group activities.
Develop therapeutic interventions including community access, leisure adaptation, leisure resources, and leisure education
Work with participants, families, and caregivers to provide leisure in homes
Participate in interdisciplinary team care planning and care management.
Individual and group documentation evaluating functional change.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy
Valid Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Certification from National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
Current Recreation Therapist registration in Washington State
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or ability to be certified within three months of employment
A valid Washington State driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured reliable vehicle or an alternate ability to travel to sites as required
Two years experience in providing recreation with the elderly or disabled
Current food handlers permit within three months of employment
