POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recreation Therapist assists in the education of students and helps to administer policies and procedures relating to discipline in accordance with current state and federal standards that govern the rights of students and employees. In addition, the Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and supervising care for students. This position assists in defining and implementing student behavioral goals as a member of the educational team, as well as conducting recreational therapy groups for children. May organize and conduct systematic in-service training for staff as ongoing staff development.
